Oxygen Rebreather Mask – Adult

Directions for use:

Prepare the Mask: Ensure the mask is the correct size for the patient and that the reservoir bag is properly connected and inflated.
Attach Oxygen: Connect the oxygen tubing to the mask and set the flow rate to a minimum of 10-15 liters per minute or as prescribed.
Pre-fill the Reservoir Bag:
Before placing the mask on the patient, ensure the reservoir bag is partially inflated by occluding the one-way valve. This ensures the patient receives a high concentration of oxygen upon inhalation.
Apply the Mask: Carefully place the mask over the patient’s nose and mouth, ensuring a tight seal.
Secure the Mask: Use the elastic strap to secure the mask around the patient’s head, adjusting for a comfortable but snug fit.
Adjust Flow Rate: If the reservoir bag deflates significantly during inhalation, increase the oxygen flow rate.
